Liposuction of the neck with placement of a chin implant

This patient underwent liposuction of the neck and placement of a chin implant to improve her jawline and strengthen her facial features.  Notice how the liposuction procedure removed much of her excess neck fat but also stimulated noticeable shrinkage of her neck skin.  As one gets older and skin elasticity diminishes, liposuction is less likely to tighten skin in this region.
