Breast enlargement incision (transaxillary).
The patient's breast enlargement incisions have healed so well that they have left only a small area of discoloration that can only be seen very close-up with excellent lighting. Others have somewhat more prominent incision lines, however it is rare to see a thickened prominent surgical incision in this area. The underarm incision avoids cutting breast ducts that may affect future ability to breastfeed (nipple or areola incision) or the potentially visible incision line from augmentation through an incision beneath your breast (inframammary fold incision.
